Our Background
SLCHTTF
The St. Lawrence County Human Trafficking Task Force was founded through a partnership between the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and Renewal House, an NGO providing case management and services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Since September of 2022, we have worked to develop a strong working relationship, improve our own knowledge of Human trafficking, and provide trainings to both Law Enforcement and Civilians. We have developed policies and procedures, investigated tips, and provided support to victims.
Our Mission
To identify, investigate, and provide services for victims of human trafficking with the collaboration of task force partners all utilizing a victim-centered approach and increasing awareness within the local community.
